The Burbank eatery isn't exactly upscale, but Joy Feast's decor shines when compared to other neighborhood Chinese, whose decorating schemes tend to utilize leftover '70s fixtures or fast-food-style banquettes. Not so at Joy Feast. A large fish tank greets you at the door, which opens onto a bright, open dining room that's more American cafe that Chinese (except for the notably Asian art). But it's the health-conscious fare that attracts neighbors in the know. Aside from the regular stir-fried options, the menu offers steamed and sauce-on-the-side dishes that limit both calories and cholesterol intake. And they even got the dumplings right: thick wrappers, none of that wimpy potsticker stuff. Take it from Disney employees, who make the march across the street most every day for lunch.

Poor replacement
By Fabirdcage on 06/11/2008
Chopstick was a great, traditional restuarant. Yes they had problems. This is a poor replacemnt. Too trendy, Too much about the bottom line finanacially, not the food.

Great Restaurant!
By Yarnb79 on 05/27/2008
This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants, and for good reason. The staff is personable and caring; the food is extremely fresh and delicious; the place is clean and quite attractive; and the prices are very reasonable. The food, of course, is the main draw. The menu is customizable, and the staff is more than willing to accommodate when possible (No oil, less oil, no salt, less salt, etc.). I love this place. And, in case you were wondering, I would highly recommend the Tofu Salad, Scallion Ginger Fish, and Honey Walnut Shrimp. Enjoy!

Could be better
By ngnglisahow on 05/10/2007
I went there once with my family, the food was quite good, the vegtables that they used was very fresh. I liked the red wall color . I think this restaurant COULD BE BETTER. There are a couple of things I didn't like was some of the decor. I think they should put some carpet down instead of the linoleum tiles, and their sit dividers looks so self-made, it makes the place look very cheap. And the number one problem most chinese restaurants possess is the unorganized, clutter areas that is exposed to the dining area, like their boxes of forturn cookies, forks boxes, and the bar is not a bar, it usually full of other junk or what not. If you're some one that doesn't care about the decor or ambiance, then this is a good restaurant to go to.
