Key Club   

With regular club nights and concerts and some primo Sunset Strip digs, the Key Club is one of West Hollywood's most popular live music and dance spots. Walking into the club is a bit like walking into a TV commercial, as bombastic event promotions on the flashing marquee only subside once you pass the seven-foot bouncer. Two floors of thoroughly modern architecture surround a center stage and dance floor that has seen artists from Dennis Rodman to Ice Cube entertaining the bouncing masses. Blue lights and high-tech accents like stainless steel fixtures and 'Jetsons'-like seating areas add an element of retro Hollywood glamour to the overall atmosphere. Like any haute club worth its margarita salt, Key Club also has a VIP area downstairs known as the Plush Lounge, which is jam-packed with celebrities like Carmen Electra and Tori Spelling for special parties and events. A full restaurant and menu is available on the second floor; reserving a table is the magic secret to getting in the club on busier nights. On weekends, the Key Club hosts dance parties with varying hip-hop and electronic sounds, as well as seasonal dance clubs throughout the year. In the former home of the ill-fated Billboard Live, the Key Club continues to make a name for itself on the Sunset Strip.
