Lola's does serve food (the baked macaroni and cheese is a major favorite), but they're more famous for their fabulous martinis. Dressed-up, young, beautiful Hollywood hipsters come in search of the perfect martini at this favorite joint. With more than 50 inventive concoctions to choose from, you really have to come up with a creative excuse to not find one that fits your mood. Some of the funkier, must-see-to-be-believed versions are the coffee Johnny-B Good and key lime and chocolate martinis. Or go with the crowd and order any of the apple martinis for sure satiation. Whether you're a seasoned drinker or not, bring a designated driver: Each huge drink comes with two-and-a-half shots of premium alcohol.

Horrible Experience!!
By jakvolcanik on 02/26/2008
I just had one of the worst service experience of my life. After sitting down, we were ignored by the waitstaff and had to get our own drinks. We got our own menus and had to flag down a busser to get water. When our server finally arrived, she took our order and eventually brought us the wrong food. We started enjoying the part of our order that they did get right, and when the piece of our order that they had gotten wrong arrived, my girlfriend burnt her hand on the scalding hot plate. We weren't warned about how hot the plate was, an we immediately asked for the manager. The manager didn't arrive for over 15 minutes, and I had to get up and find our server to communicate my desire to speak to the manager again. After another five minutes, the manager arrived at our table. I cordially let her know that the points of service were not observed and how we had been offended by the innatentive lack of service. The manager informed us that there was nothing she could do, and that she would look into it. We paid full price for our meal and left. We live in the neighborhood and visit Lola's quite often, and we are sad that one of our favorite places to drink and eat has been tainted. They clearly don't care about thier customers and thier policies and service standards relflect that.

1st timer ... great spot!!
By xmihert on 06/23/2007
we went here for the first time after a movie at the Grove the other night. The were recommended to us as a place that served great food late into the evening - they did not disapoint! It was very very busy but we were seated right away. I had this incredible halibut my wife had a salad that was amazing, we split a bottle of wine and each had a martini. We had some Lemon Ice box dessert that was really refreshing and summery and then to cap off our night a star sighting !! Britney Spears and company came in (she was in a ball gown??!!) My kids were thrilled the next day when we told them. Fun spot, GREAT SERVICE (WAYNE) huge martini's, great atmosphere, great diverse crowd of people - we will definitely be back!
