Barn Burner BBQ   

My wife is from Houston and is a UT grad. We had Barn Burner cater a party the night before the Rose Parade as a surprise for all our SC friends! All were in praise for the food! The 'que sause is great! The meats are flavorful and tender. this is a good California substitute for Otto's in Houston which is Texas 'Que nervana. I am a native Californian and love the place! Very casual but you don't need to put on your wranglers (more Texas than Levis) or boots. All tied in with El Cholo so you know they have the backing of a great restaurant chain. Everyone we have told about this place loves it!

A fun and casual barn theme. As you look around, they've given a bit of creative thought to the place. We went for a family lunch and all felt like they thought of everything... but the food. The BBQ was just 'OK'. The other food was just OK, too. Just mediocre BBQ, etc. Went a second time after open a while - same food. 1.5 stars for food. 3.5 stars for a cool theme.
