Excelent everything
By PhilC21 on 12/15/2008
We started w/ the cheese plate and homemade raisin bread, about 5 different cheeses, all very good although we asked for their house white bread to finish it all, enough for 3 people as a small appetizer. We all had the filet mignon, cooked to perfection and cut like butter! Side dishes were creamed spinach, good, risotto, a little heavy because of the addition of olive oil and thin cut fries, all in all very good, desert was the banana dish, very good and the chocolate cake, very good, we all cleaned our plates, and excellent service, we are going back very soon! Excellent filet mignon and excellent service!

Chaya is totally unpretentious and a great spot to get wonderful food in a comfortable setting. Getting a reservation is fairly easy and I found the staff to be friendly. The menu is rich in seafood-based dishes and the rolls, although a bit pricey, are very good. I found the tuna and sea bass entrees very tasty and perfectly seasoned, and the warm apple tart was absolutely fantastic. Chaya is a great place to relax and have a delicious meal and I can't wait to go back and try more dishes.
