Forget the rest - this place is literally - the best.
By MISTERWEINSTEIN on 12/05/2008
I wen to Geisha House when it opened and then recently and found the service to be 5 star. The hostess and host were completely attentitive to me and my date - the atmosphere is just awesome - but the real star of the place is the food - they had a steak dish, a lot of dishes I'd never seen before but every single thing i ate there was AMAZING. I did not get a hollywood vibe there - it just seemed like a nice party atmosphere with very pleasant friendly people. The price was very reasonable considering how much food we ate and they sent us a complimentary dessert that was to die for. If you want to impress a date - or yourself - seriuosly - look no further.

Some Pros some cons
By beachgoyl on 02/19/2008
I went there the other weekend for my birthday and a friends birthday. We had made reservations but they kept taking us to different spots trying to seat us somewhere. They sat 5 of us at a 4 person table, so there was one less set of chopsticks and napkin. I asked them for another set, which I ************* ended up having to share chopsticks and napkin with my friend. The decor is really cool and I like the vibe, the food was amazing and they had some really unique drinks, that were also really great. Unfortunetly I would not go back, because of the people who work there. Any time we needed something our waiter would treat us like we were an inconvenience, but all we were asking for were the things he had forgotten to bring us. My friends had to ask a couple times to get a fork because they didn't know how to use chopsticks, after asking 3 times and waiting, everyone else was almost done with their meal by the time the got them. 2 of the girls ordered the same thing and everyones food came out together except one of the girls, which was odd. The weirdest thing was, we ordered Saki and they only brought 4 Saki cups, so I asked our waiter for another and he twitched when i asked him, almost as if I had asked him to do something horrible, I looked to my friend to see if she saw it or if I was seeing things, and she gave me a weird look and said she saw that too. Overall, great food, great decor, would never go back because the people who work there are incompetent and rude.

tries too hard to be cool
By guitarsandsushi on 04/27/2007
tries wayyy too hard to be that hip, hollywood cool restaurant. i go out too eat a lot and i have been in the industry and i can tell you the staff is fine, but the management is unprofessional and the food is average. i overheard one of the staff complaining about working 8 hours straight without a break, which is illegal in the state of california! dont go there if you want to see celebs , but definitely go to see the wannabes in thier favorite forever 21 outfits. oh yes, and ice on the salmon sushi was not cool. we still left over 20% to the server because we knew it wasnt her fault for the faulty restaurant.
