With a penchant for event production, Gary Arabia built his catering business around the concept of food as art: not just to eat, but to experience. He creates parties from the ground up, customizing the menu, designing the lighting and decor, hiring the staff, in essence, building the ambience. Boasting clients from Ray Romano and Andre Agassi to Daryl Hannah and Paula Adbul, Arabia prides himself on attention to detail, meticulous planning and the ability to make rich flavor seep from more than just the food. His global cuisine, not to be understated, is centered around brilliant textures and spices, and ranges in ethnicity from Thai to regional American - having studied with his mother in the kitchen since childhood. Arabia also runs two restaurants, Global Cuisine at The Lot in West Hollywood and Global Cuisine at Fountain in Los Angeles. Not to be missed is Arabia's Body Sushi experience. Originating from Japan, the Global Cuisine version entails a colorful array of sushi placed on tea leaves and served on the body of a beautiful model.
