The gulfstream is an Atlantic Ocean current legendary in part for the spectacular fishing it supplies; here on the Pacific, you'll experience a related phenomenon with the delicious, plentiful seafood at Gulfstream. Start off with the delectable crispy calimari or the fresh-shucked oysters, then move on to one of Gulfstream's specialties -- a good first choice is the flavorful seared ahi tuna burger or the cedar plank-roasted salmon. The meat at Gulfstream is just as good as the fish, too, particularly the marinated ribeye and the beef ribs, and a selection of hearty salads is perfect for lunch or a lighter supper. Don't miss the extensive wine list and the rich, fruity desserts. The sleek decor -- inspired by design of the 1930s and '40s -- features an exhibition kitchen, rolling teak ceilings and an aqua green terrazzo tile bar, combining to make Gulfstream a warm and inviting choice for an upscale casual evening.

Excellent food, the vegetable/chicken salad is great as is the fish fillet sandwich. Two thumbs down to the Rib Eye though. Service is hit or miss, sometimes its excellent, other times its horrible.

From the warm towels in the beginning to the scrumptious dessert, this is a class experience. Friendly and expert service, delicious food, this place is my new favorite. There's so much to look at, from the good-looking staff to the director's lights illuminating the meal. A great celeb-spotting place as well. They have to eat, don't they?
