This place is GREAT. It feel like I'm home in the Bay Area eating at a hidden place in Berkeley. I've been here several times, as the restaurant has lasted through about 4 boyfriends and 2 apartments. The food never lets me down and I can change whatever I want so I get exactly what I want (some places are real pains about that). There is a wait sometimes, but what do you expect when there's greatness involved. When we have to wait I just go to this cute store across the street with great clothes and accessories reasonably priced. Once I have my goodies I get to go eat some good food. The Menu is sssooo big it takes me a while to focus and pick just 1 thing (Ok i lied i usually have to get 3 or 4 things..lol). The main item I get here is a breakfast burrito with potatoes instead of eggs (I'm not an egg person but the people i go with say they are great). The burrito is covered with this amazing sauce and stuffed with bacon and whatever goodness you want... I'm hungry just thinking about it. The place is also the best for hangover days, it's one of the only places I know I can eat no matter how much I drank the night b4.... All-in-all I say Go! Go! Go! and you won't be disappointed... Stars all around =)

Tranquility at Home

My daugher and I found this place tucked away. As she loves to eat outside the courtyard was great. We had attentive service, that was there when you needed it, but not overbearing. My daughter ordered her favorite, chocolate pancakes with extra whip cream and I had the most amazing Meatloaf. If you are looking for a me too kind of meatloaf this is not it, it is truly one of a kind and i mean that in a good way. As I am a slow eater, my daughter got restless, and went to go look at the poi fish in the fountain pond. We had to take some pancakes home, and I wish I had not eaten all the meatloaf so I could have some now. My daughter called it a secret garden. We plan being regulars.

Wished we'd stayed home.

Service probably couldn't have been worse. We waited and waited and waited and WAITED. No silverware, no drinks, no menus. We had to ask for everything. Really. Every single things. We watched other people being served who had come in after us. We liked the look of the place and the food (we had breakfast) was okay - nothing special -- but the lack of service made the whole experience unpleasant. No apologies from them so there's no apology from me for giving them only two stars.
