Kushiyu   

Kushiyu used to be one our favorite sushi restaurants in the valley, but not anymore. Don't waste your time or money. The food is ok, but the service and management are beyond terrible. They do not care at all if you are unhappy with your food. We are one of several families in Tarzana who will never be back.

We got food poisoning after eating at Kushiyu. This place has gone to the slums in the recent years. It used to be the best but recent management has driven it down. Two families were dined with were all sick. Manager was informed the next day and he said to bring the hospital bill and he will consider refunding us. He did not ask what we ate to discard the fish. Another friend was contaminated there last month. And I read on another site that another reviewer was sick this past weekend the same time that we were! I would stay away from this place at all costs. I have notified the Dept of Public Health as well. There is much better sushi in the valley nowadays than this dump with old, sick fish.

THE WORST , WORST MEAL i have ever had and paid for . Poor Service ... which would be fine if the food was good, but it was HORRIBLE> AVOID! PLease notice that all of these reviews are VERY old, maybe once this place was good, but right now its horrible. We paid 50 dollars for two people, for two nasty rolls of sushi (lime roll, eel roll) and then some KUSHIYAKI.... which was play-sized and tasted nasty!

I simply won't do sushi elsewhere. Fresh, amazing quality, and nothing is every premade and ready to go, made to your liking. if you sit at the bar they'll make anything you ask for, and the kuyaki menu is always an amazing little sizzle to your meal. the wait can be long sometimes, but worth it. once you go here, you'll never do sushi anywhere else.
