Locanda del Lago maintains a unique identity as perhaps the only restaurant in L.A. to focus on the cuisine of Lake Como in Northern Italy. Featuring specialties from Bellagio, Lago attracts celebrities, locals and travelers with exceptional food and service. The popular restaurant offers lunch, dinner and weekend brunch as well as a comfortable, warm atmosphere and sidewalk patio. "Happy Hour" from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday - Friday has specially priced tapas-style menu and drinks. Outstanding private party and catering services are offered. Lago consistently receives praise from newspapers, magazines and travel guides throughout the world. The wine list has received WINE SPECTATOR?s prestigious ?Award of Excellence? every year since 1995, FROMMER'S says, "There?s no better place to people-watch than at the outdoor patio,? and GOURMET says, "Don't miss the Ossobuco alla Milanese."

Always a nice evening
By schillang on 02/14/2007
When I want a great evening out, even by myself, I can always come to the bar at Lago and have a great time. The entire staff is wonderful and warm, the menu, amazing and the people you meet at the bar are from all over the world and ready to share a bottle of wine. Ask the bartenders to make you a martini they've invented or to choose a great glass of wine. Even the valet is nice!

Not worth your time and money
By gemtrade on 10/14/2006
I went there last night , Friday the 13th of October. Perhaps an omen. Took out of town guests. Embarassed by both the food and service. It's not that they weren't trying, but more that they were unqualified to do the jobs they had been given. Not worth your time and money.

Very impressive! Tried the Chef's summer menu and thought it was superb, and an incredible value for the high-end dishes we were served. The wine pairings were fun. My server was very accomodating. Kudos to the chef and the restaurant staff!
