Lake Spring Restaurant   

This is more than a bistro...it's a delightful little jazz club that serves food. From a surprisingly extensive menu, I had the Brazilian Black Bean Soup for $2.95...yes, you read $2.95, and while it wasn't very Brazilian (I've lived there) it was pretty tasty - along with some baguette that could have been heated and a non-alky Clausthauler beer. My companion had a hefty-looking Mediterrean salad...while we all listened to the live recording session of a trumpet-led jazz quartet ($4 cover charge). Give it a try; you might be surprised!
