are they kidding?
It's almost 2005 and the last reviews are dated 2001. We ate there in the mid-80's and my wife wanted to give it a shot. I write this with hopes that they will fix this legendary spot.
We should have had a hint when there were many empty tables at 9 PM on Saturday. I'll do this in short bursts. Margarita rocks - decent, strong and at 6 bucks, fair price. Virgin Strawberry Marg for the niece - 3 bucks and watery. Negra Modelo - 5 bucks! come on now!
Chips-thin, greasy, stuck together
Salsa-runny,spicey
Pico de gallo - decent and hot with fresh peppers
soup- mix of split pea and veggie - decent
salad - tiny just ok
chicken mole - AWFUL!!! two half breasts smothered in sauce. Mole is a sauce with chocolate and other spices and other ingredients. Their mole was mainly chocolate with a clear lack of caring by the chef. It was disgusting! If you want a hot chocolate chicken sundae, this is your place!
Rice and beans - who cares. it could have been del taco
My wife's enchilada and taco dish was good.
Niece's burrito was finished so it was okay
Service was slow.
Combinations are way overpriced.
