Michael's Restaurant   

It was fun to see Tom Hanks and his (then) very pregnant wife (Rita Wilson) smile when Michael made his rounds at the beginning of the dinner hour, to welcome his guests for some fun and practical jokes. Jay Leno was sitting at the top of the stairs, as I and my group of friends, were then invited to a good round of fun, as Michael served baby corn for his vegetable sides on ALL plates ordered at our table, and the other tables in the back garden area. Michael made Tom melt with laughter, and grin with embarrassed pleasure. Much fun was to be had by all in attendance that evening; as well as with Mr. Leno – who set the whole thing up – and the Hanks. I always thoroughly enjoy your down-to-earth, hands-on, touchy-feely warmth and gentle smile…not to mention the beautiful pastry art you display as we enter your ‘home’ away from home, before we are seated. I must say, though, I am still partial to your homemade sherbets! What a terrific treat, at the end of a seafaring meal! Michael’s, as is Michael himself, are a gem; as the beautiful faire Michael creates for his guests! Loads of laughter, and VERY good service, is always to be found here. Kudos, Michael! We had a lovely time. Service was excellent. Our server was very aware and attentive. Fois Gras appetizer is out of this world. Loup de Mer and Duck breast most excellent fare. Know ahead of time that it is quite expensive

Big dissapointment. Food inferior, service substandard.
