The owner and chef of this small restaurant is a stickler for fresh fish. But scaly creatures from American shores won't do; his catch is imported from Japan. He is just as finicky about the decor, which is simple and clean. Instead of being hindered by a sushi case, patrons sitting at the large Japanese washi paper-covered sushi bar can view the open kitchen. The special sashimi menu is particularly popular with the clientele, generally Hollywood agents and their brethren, as well as locals from West Hollywood and Beverly Hills. Most are casually chic or clad in business wear. Only about 24 diners can be seated at any given time, so reservations are recommended; you can even reserve space at the sushi bar.

My wife and I have eaten here four times, each time omakase and each time have been dazzled by the presentation, freshness and taste. Last time we have a live, yes live, king crab!!! where can you get that! Bit pricy but heh, you only live once. If you've got the bucks, spend it here.
