Our Take Queue up for mustard-slathered, ham- and pork-stacked Cuban sandwiches at this bustling Glendale landmark. Lines are lengthy for the cheap and filling lunch goodies, as well as the famous, frosting-laden fantasy cakes.

Our Top 5

We love Porto's! The potato balls, meat pies, & most of their sandwiches are great. They've got such a extensive variety of delicious desserts. My daughter loves the brownies & my favorites are the fruit tart, cheese rolls, and the guava & cheese rolls. I heard their best dessert is the mango mousse, but I can't tell you by experience. The mango drink & dulce de leche is good, if you like yours super sweet. We're glad we don't live so close by because we'd be so much bigger if we did! Parking is a lot easier (for now) in Burbank. Both locations are busy and packed most of the time, but the employees are friendly & very professional. The lines are intimidating at first, but they move them quickly. If you want same day catering, you have to go to Glendale, but it's better to call them first because they only have a handful of things ready to go.

They have the best deserts and pastries you could ever taste. If you crave a tiramasu you should run to this bakery because at times it feels like any time that you delay is time lost in eating a scrumptuous desert! Deserts were meant to eeat not fein!

WOW!! , Where do you start ? Will it be a Cuban sandwich or a media noche, or potato balls, a meat pie or maybe a Cuban tamale with a couple of "croquetas" on side ....add a handfull plantain chips for added crunch... Oh ' what the heck ' eat it all. It's all wonderfull and you can afford it, even if your body can't......But., make sure you leave room for dessert. It should only take you about a year to sample every available variety . "Caution" .... to prevent withdrawl pangs make sure to take home a bag or two of Cuban crackers..THESE CUBANS CAN REALLY SHAKE AND BAKE !!!!!!!!!!!!
