Featuring one of the best views in Los Angeles, The Restaurant at the Getty Center offers a fine dining menu in a simple and elegant setting. The Restaurant's Chef focuses on using the freshest local and regional ingredients and presenting them beautifully and tastefully. The Mediterranean-California inspired menu utilizes global influences to create an experience that is delicious, ambitious and creative. A distinctive wine list and full bar are also available. The menu is market driven, using produce from local growers and the Santa Monica farmer's market. The Chefs have worked closely with local farmers to ensure the best possible product. Careful attention is given to sustainability with regards to seafood. The menu changes weekly to keep up with market changes as well as seasonal changes. Food service at the Getty Center is managed by the Bon App?tit Management Company.

3 stars is a rating in the middle of the scale: A perfect choice for description of the mediocre architecture. This design seems to have been inspired by a top of the line Kenmore refrigerator, but much colder. The mono-chromatic color scheme of white, chrome and glass has a sterility rivaled only by the clientel of any fine fertility clinic. Take your sunglasses with you because the bright reflection of the surrounding marble and painted panels of its exterior is even more painful for your eyes than its design. And to think that they wanted it whiter!(its lucky for us that the surrounding neibors had complained about this early on in the construction, or else it would have been REALLY white like the tram stations, which are islands of vulgarity in themselves). But, if you are going there to see art, wear blinders until a guide you'll have to hire tells you that you have ENTERED the museum. After you have taken the very short trip through all the displays showcasing REAL artists, you may be left with a want for more entertainment. Easy task: All you need do is start a conversation with one of the many Getty Trust employees. With this I can promise you hours of comedy. You will be th (truncated)
