S & W Country Diner   

The small, faux dive-y Culver City joint is best enjoyed breaking every diet rule. Westsiders may wait up to an hour for a table, then enter the space adorned with ad tchotchkes for the real treat: a long menu not afraid of a little good ol' fashioned fat. It comes in the form of breakfast items like breaded pork chop and eggs, or hash browns served with sour cream in the middle; and sides like fried tomatoes or a large variety of pancakes. Plus, an entire menu section is dedicated to sandwich melts. S & W combines a funky, Silver Lake-esque atmosphere (a rarity on the west side) with tasty, indulgent comfort food, all for mostly under $10 -- which means you can have your fluffy, buttery biscuit and eat it too. Just a warning: Their sign reads, "In God we trust, everyone else pays cash," so your credit's no good here.
