In ShortDanilo Terribli (Alto Palato) and Bill Chait's (Louise's Trattoria) modern version of an Italian rosticceria is a danger-free zone. That's because architect Osvaldo Maiozzi (Vincenti) put the rotisserie, grill and pizza oven behind glass and installed flame-colored awnings above the petite patio. This is the place for heroic-sized platters of Caesar salad, Italian meatloaf and fritto misto. Those for whom nothing can be too rich or too thin will dote on the late Mauro Vincenti's lush lasagna and the wood-fired, thin-crusted, Roman-style pizzas.

Amazing
By ssnake16 on 09/21/2006
Sparks has amazing food. The best thing on the menu is their pizza, soooo good.. Its razor thin topped with a little bit of cheese, it's not like those orgiinal nasty thick ass pizzas that make you want to throw up after consuming once slice. They have amazing chicken and the best dessert (bread pudding) Must try sparks. The only problem is that parking sucks, valet.. ahhh! But worth it!

too restricting
By bcfortune on 08/11/2006
their menu is full of brackets - (lunch only), (dinner only), never come across such menus before. hate valets - avoid restaurants with these - so many other restaurants. also hate all restaurants that close off sections and herd all in one corner. wanted rib and crab cake for lunch but they don't have it so went for the chicken and Kobe burger - didn't llike either.

Delicious catered food!
By pjbosc915 on 02/01/2006
I had a party at my house for about 40 guests and I picked up some finger food from Spark on Pico. Everyone loved it; meatballs, crab cakes, little ribs, smoked salmon on cucumber. It was excellent and affordable.

Porchetta sandwich!
By pjbosc1 on 06/18/2004
This sandwich was delicious (loved the tarragon mayo and fries) and we both kept noticing how nice everyone was even though we had a 6 month old baby with us. They were genuinely sweet and lovely, the chefs waived to the baby through the glassed in kitchen. We all loved it. A great neighborhood haunt for us now at least twice a week.
