Life's pleasures are mostly of the simple variety: a butterfly landing on a flower, waves crashing on a beach, an afternoon spent with a friend. But the occasional lavish Sunday brunch is also pretty nice, especially when it involves celebrating your mom, a graduation or a birthday. The Langham Huntington Hotel & Spa, built in 1907 and still one of Pasadena's grande dames, lays out an extensive brunch spread every Sunday that draws both stay-in guests and walk-in visitors alike. Sip champagne before heading out with plate in hand to check out the huge choice of breads, cheeses and fruits.

Everything about the Langham's Sunday Brunch is fantastic. My favorite in Los Angeles by far.
My favorite
I've been all over the World, but the best brunch to be had is here. The shrimp alone are enough to bring me back over and over again. The dim sum is excellant and the desserts are to die for. The best seating is outdoors. Reservations can be hard to come by so I suggest calling early in the week, but this is the way to spend a perfect Sunday.
