The SceneAt almost any hour, this humble stand is surrounded by a diverse throng of devoted diners--yuppies seeking a quick lunch, families enjoying a thrifty dinner, young couples exchanging affectionate glances over a late-night bite. Since there are only a few picnic tables outside and only a few more inside, most people stand and eat. The FoodTwenty bucks buys just about one of every item on the menu with change to spare. Besides bargain-basement prices, the secret to Tito's success is its tasty, no-nonsense Mexican fare. Stuffed with shredded beef, the hard-shell tacos are so petite it's not uncommon for customers to order quantities in the double-digits. Enchiladas are generously filled with neon-orange cheese and blanketed in a mildly piquant red sauce. Burritos come crammed with zesty stewed meat and oily refried beans. All orders come with a mound of freshly fried chips and zesty tomato salsa.

I live in Orlando, FL and visit Los Angeles a few times a year. Tito's is the first stop once I get the rental car! There's nothing that compares around here.

I remember going there when it first opened, around 1960 or maybe earlier. First burrito I even had. And still the best (beef & bean).

Since I was born...

My family has been going there for as long as they've been open... I grew up on it when I lived down there. Now we live in the high desert and its still well worth the 2 hour drive to get it every once in a while. Their chips and salsa are the best out of every restaurant I have ever tried! Actually, all of their food is great, and their service is amazing. You never wait too long because there are people running around non-stop to get every order out to the customers. Definitely worth 5 stars, this is my favorite restaurant in the world!
