Customers don't have much to choose from at Tommy's, which is exactly the way they want it. First opened in 1946, Tommy's has captured Angelenos' hearts and cracked their weight scales with a simple, heart-stopping menu of hot dogs, tamales and burgers loaded with a thick coating of Tommy's chili. Some find a taste of heaven in the Tommy's Original, which somehow manages to fit a 100% all-beef patty, a double-thick slice of cheese, slabs of tomato, chopped onions and a couple of pickles between two buns, while others take advantage of Tommy's "made-to-order at no extra charge" policy, opting for a scaled-down patty. The limited menu makes it hard for even the most indecisive to ruminate over choices, and with Tommy's locations open 24 hours a day, it's only a matter of time until you're on the receiving end of a chunky wedge of salty fry or juicy burger.

Tommy's Burgers
By Msnewfy on 08/15/2008
The absolute best. I started going there in 1963. At noon we would encounter a very long line but the wait was well worth it. I have only recently moved back to California and one of my day trips out of the desert will be to have a burger at Tommy's. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

oh yeah, Tommy's is the stop every now and then, the sauces they use instead of mayonnaise, I believe thousand island, is all in there sloppy, but tastes so fantastic! Way better than In-N-Out, because Tommy's lines are never too long, and Tommy's actually hooks it up with seasoned fries all greasy! Oh my goodness, I am turning into Homer with Donuts! Boy, am I lucky I have a Tommy's near my job! Better quality, better quantity, and way better price!!!!!!!
