Villa Piacere   

My fiancee had passed by this place several times and had looked forward to checking it out. So, we decided to stop in tonight. When we arrived, approximately 10% of their tables were full. We asked about a table for two. The hostess looked at us in a hesitant manner and then went and talked to another staff member who gave us the once over. She then came back, without looking at her reservation book once, and said that they were completely booked. It was clear that they had judged us to be unfit to eat at their restuarant. We found this ironic that we were celebrating the purchase of our $800,000 house this morning. The loan officer had found us to be perfectly acceptable.

The courtyard is one of the prettiest in the Valley. I've only had one meal there- the muscovy duck was very delicious. I wouldn't hesitate to go back!

I have only had take out from here a handful of times. The food was tasty. EXCEPT for one occasion a friend and I got very bad food posioning from a chicken sandwich. I don't remember which one, but I haven't been back. It was probably an isolated incident. I gave 3 stars because of this. Otherwise the food was great.
