i like this place alot . They have karaoke, great drinks , and good bands.

JP's seems to not know what crowd it wants to appeal to anymore. The reputatation it once had as a "really nice" place to go and dance seems to be going by the wayside....What a shame...there are lots of places for the younger "thirty something" folks to go and now they seem to not care what they get in there.I know they own another club that does expressly cater to the younger "beer slinging"crowd...Why are they letting the only place in Louisville for the "over 50" crowd ....who does know how to behave in public...tips good service and doesn't "suck" on a beer for an hour before we place another order, go by the wayside? All of us "Singles over 50" and there is a bunch of us,with money to spend, that know how to party,...without holding a beer up in the air while on the dance floor...please are we drinking or dancing?..come on Porters wake up

Jim Porters is a fun place to go and dance , there are all ages , some people say that its for the older folks but i have found even the young folks are there too, it has a great environment , even if you just want to sit and talk, or walk around, it has 4 bars and you can mingle with the crowd, is why i like it.......
