Lilly's high-art-deco style easily recalls a hip, upscale New York City bistro, and the menu, which changes seasonally or at the chef's whim, does the same. The place has won its share of fans and accolades -- its chef has been nominated numerous times for the James Beard Award for Best Southeast Chef. Much of the restaurant's meats and produce (and superlative seafood) hails from New York's Hudson Valley and from local suppliers, so you can be sure the fare is exquisite. The wine list is nothing to write home about, although you'll certainly want to order their mint julep come derby season. Desserts, on the other hand, are another story. Lilly's signature dessert is a justly infamous Chocolate Lava, but don't eat too much of it if you want to squeeze through the restaurant's tightly packed tables come evening's end.

Han another great meal with fine service. Duck two way was superb. Lobster ravioli so good my wife wouldn't share it. Should have ordered two roasted garlics. Owner/Chef Kathy Cary promised to prepare onion pudding on our next visit.

One of the Best

Lilly's is definately one of the best restaurants. The food is very good, but quality can drag during the winter months when produce isn't quite as fresh. It is cramped. Not the haute cuisine of the French Laundry but certainly worth the price. Try the crème brûlée in puff pastry - excellent.

Totally overrated. High on attitude and price, entirely uncomfortable dining area--crowded--as opposed to "cozy"!
