Why wait until Friday for a fish fry when you can have it every night at Zach's Avenue Bar? Ever since it was built in 1956, this Madison institution has evolved from a tavern with pool tables to a popular restaurant with a large menu. The place includes kitchen utensils, farm implements, tools, clocks, telephones, dishes and a variety of glassware. Diners are welcome to contribute to the decor as well. Or just toss the menu aside and order the fried fish -- often voted the best in Madison -- no matter what day it is.

GREAT EVERYTHING
THE SOUPS ARE DELICIOUS, THE FISH BOIL IS FANTASTIC, THE RIBS ARE THE BEST. I WAS IN MADISON FOR FIVE DAYS AND ATE HERE 7 TIMES. TRY IT.
