Rate and Write a Review By day its a deli; by night, it's an authentic Italian trattoria. Fresh sandwiches and more than 90 different soups fill up the New York Delis lunch menu. The chef, who trained in Rome and Florence, drives 400 miles downstate to Detroit to pick up the meats and breads for the huge deli sandwiches. His soups so popular, a bowl is sold every 90 seconds. White tablecloths are brought out in the evening, and dinner is served over the din of opera or classical music. The dinner menu includes about a dozen pasta dishes and entrees such as Penne Amatriciana and Ossobuco in Bianco. Wine list is strictly Italian. --James Guay

rude..and over priced
They claim to be a New York Deli. Well they are far from New York, and their food isn't all that great. I had a Pastrami sandwich and it didn't have what they said was a half a pound sandwich and the kosher dill pickle that was sliced too thin..
I didn't bother with the soup.
the help was rude and the service was very slow considering there was only me at the counter and 2 tables that had been served. I won't return
If you want a pastrami sandwich try the Stage Deli in NYC.
New Ownership
Lunch was "OK", perhaps it was just the very standoffish "Oh, you're here" attitude. Totally unlike the usual warm welcome here in the U. P.
We'll try it again with the new management and see if there's a difference.
rude
