Never Again !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Robin Thicke played Fire & Ice on 2/10/07 and it was the worst experience of ALL my life. Robin was great and I don't fault him in this at all but the owners and the promoters of this show need to serve jail time because this was one of the biggest cons I have ever seen. From the beginning, it was advertised that only 1500 tickets available for this show. At $35 bucks a piece that's a nice piece of change. Someone forgot to mention that this place only holds 800 people MAX!! The show was also advertised to start at 9 pm and people were cautioned to come early because it was 'general seating'. To make a long horror story short, people that arrived at 7pm were forced to stand outside, in the dead of winter until 9 pm. I myself did not inter the club until 10:30. During the course of this 4 hour fiasco, a number of people left therefore forfeiting their $35. At one point the Fire, Police and Sheriff departments were called to the property and we all watched a man representing the club LIE to them about how may people were in the building and that the claim of 1500 tickets being sold was false. Also that 'seating' that was promised to all the early birds was noticeably absent. I guess the 4 hours of standing outside in the cold was to get folks ready to stand for another hour and 30 minutes in the club. I could write a book about all of the other things that went wrong dealing with this club, but I will cut it short with this, the owners of Fire & Ice will not get another dime from me and a lot of other hard working people in the city of Memphis. And for any entertainer that is thinking of playing here, DON'T. The damage to your reputation is not worth it !!
