Rendezvous Charles Vergos   

I agree with "A Memphis Must". The Rendezvous is not trying to be an upscale, formal dining experience. It's a barbecue joint! And a world-class one at that. I have eaten barbecue from TX to Carolina and nobody does it better than Charlie V. I wouldn't change a thing. When I want white table cloths and water goblets, I'll go somewhere diferent. When I want real, Memphis barbecue the way it is supposed to be, the Rendezvous is as "five star" as it gets.

I've tried it all and Rendezvous has the best barbecue in Memphis. From the bluesy atmosphere to the perfect, smoky barbecue, this place is a little piece of Memphis culture. Don't change a thing, Charlie.

I have been going here for over 25 years and can not find better ribs in the Memphis area. Corkys is ok and so is INTERSTATE BBQ but give me the Rendezvous any time. Now if you want good wet ribs you need to go to Alabama to Dreamland Ribs.
