Cupboard Restaurant   

A preferred lunch spot for Memphis' senior citizens, the Cupboard's famous among all ages for its comforting, home-cooked, just-like-Grandma-used-to-make vegetable plates. Outstanding selections include the tart-but-sweet fried green tomatoes and the nourishing but mushy eggplant casserole. Baskets of cornbread and rolls accompany every order, and drink refills abound. Best of all, dine reasonably here, receive generous portions and enjoy speedy waitresses.
