Named for founder Humphrey Folk Jr., this restaurant has been recognized as a choice cut of Memphis dining since it was founded in 1977. Folk's Folly makes its home in a beautifully refurbished house, with a number of the building's original rooms in use as either dining or banquet areas. The sound of the piano in the Cellar lounge drifts through the softly lit rooms, enhancing the pleasure of a perfectly prepared steak or fresh seafood dish and a selection from the restaurant's extensive wine list. Seafood is flown in on a daily basis, and the restaurant's Prime Cut Shoppe allows diners to take home a wide array of meats. Folk's Folly is more than happy to deliver its meat and other delicacies in Memphis or ship them to any address nationwide. -- Danna Greenfield

Recent dinner, marginal quality filet and also over cooked. Save your money. A steak at home would be far superior.

Folk's Folly beef is in a class with New York City's Peter Lugar among the best steakhouses in U.S.. It is downrated by some customers because it is "too expensive." That says more about those customers than about Folk's Folly.
