If you're looking to chug some cheap brew in a frat boy atmosphere, Duffy's Tavern should be just what the doctor ordered. U of Miami students pack this ultra-casual pub, pounding down pitchers of icy draft and shots as they congregate at the wooden picnic-style tables. Duffy's definitely fits the mold of your typical loud and crazy saloon. Whether a football game is blasting from the rec room or a group of students taking a study break are engaging in an arm wrestling contest by the bar, this is not the place to go if you want to relax with a quiet glass of wine and your own thoughts. Duffy's also keeps in mind the tastebuds of its clientele by offering hot and juicy burgers that have a reputation for preventing hangovers, beer battered fries, a variety of sandwiches and even key lime pie. And how about that Thursday rib night? Whether you're a student now or a graduate looking to experience some collegiate nostalgia, Duffy's offers an old time 'Animal House' style evening that's easy on the wallet. -- Rebecca Stropoli
