WoW
Ive been here a few times and have had lots of fun the Music videos are great. The drinks are priced very reasonable and the bartenders were entertaining.. Thanks boom I will be back..
Boom this place with dynamite!
I moved out of Milwaukee but frequently return to visit friends and family. I have maintained some good friendships in Milwaukee. I have had the mis-fortune of frequenting Club BOOM, and yeah it should be BOOMED, only because a few friends would take me there, and I knew two of their bartenders. I have to say that being in an atmosphere where the owner and his boyfriend openly fight, ridicule customers, and just act pissy, is not my idea of a good time. The owner's boyfriend is on a power trip, frequently threatening to "BAN FOR LIFE" customers he gets mad at. I see where this comes from, as in years past the boyfriend was a jobless user who leached drinks from people for sex. No matter, it now appears he has a SUGAR DADDY in the owner of BOOM, and that is where their hostility must stem..... The boyfriends hostility due to the fact he "settled" for a fat older man, the owners hostility from the fact the boyfriend still frequently "tricks" with select customers.
This place is bad news all around. They recently fired one of the bartenders I knew there, and with my friends deciding to not go, neither will I!!! The place should be BOOOMED with dynamite, as if it were IRAQ!!!!
Club DOOM not BOOM
this is what this place should be called. they treat their customers very bad. owner shows a bad mood all the time. never has anything good to say.
this bar is never busy & who wants to sit in a empty bar by your self. you might as well stay at home.
i've been in this bar many times only because i knew the one bartender who was the only one w/ any class.
this maybe a beautiful bar, but your visit won't be a nice one. very cold to "non regulars". owner yells at the customers in front of their friends.
strickly bad news.
Mystery Solved
The bar is clean, and the bartenders seem nice, but the bar is empty most of the time. It was a mystery to me as to why no one patronizes The Room, until I observed the owner in action. He hovers over the people that come in, and watches the customers and staff as if he's there to conduct intense FBI surveillance. To make things worse, he is not very flexible, and is always bent out of shape over the slightest thing. Someone wanted to pay with a credit card, and he told her to go use the ATM. When she explained that it wasn't an ATM card, he took away her and her friends' drinks and very condescendingly "yelled" at her, for lack of a better word. One of her friends jumped in and handed her cash. Astounded, I'm sure, as I was by the rude demeanor of the owner. Would I go back to The Room? Probably not. Gay bars have popped up in double digits, and keeping thecompetition in mind, I'd rather go someplace where I feel welcome.
