At Random   

I am shocked to read the previous review as I have never had an expierence even similar to his. My husband and I have been going to At Random for about 9 years, sometimes just the two of us and sometimes in huge parties with as many as 15 people. We have always had excellant service, amazing drinks and an expierence to remember. We know the staff by name and they remember us too, even if they only see us twice a year. We find the atmosphere to be perfect. I would suggest you try it,as soon as you have a chance, but not on a Sunday or Monday as they are closed.

We went here three times this past summer. The first time we went there were four of us and we got there early. We had a drink which was good and everything was fine. The second time we went there, again there were four of us and the owner (who is very rude) told us he didn't know if he could find a booth to fit us, he pointedly looked at one of the men and said you know, you're not all that small. Our friend was not that big at all and much smaller than the owner is. The third time we went, we drove with some friends (by the way we live in Germantown, so it's not a short commute) to go. There were ten of us. When we were walking in, a group of six were leaving and said tht the rude owner would not sit them, they were too big. We thought what the heck, we'll give it a try. We went in and told him we just wanted to have a drink and he could split us up. He told us that this was not the place for groups and refused to seat us, even split up. I understand that this is supposed to be a date place, but the place was not even crowded as we saw when asked to use the restroom. He turned away at least $150 in our group alone. If he doesn't want groups, that is fine, but I think he should post something on the door, instead of being so rude to potential clients. I will not go there again and give my money to someone so rude.
