Family atmosphere is definitely present at Serb Hall. On any given Friday, the Hall claims to serve 1,500 to 2,000 plates of fish. The Hall offers one of Milwaukee's most famous fish frys, so most patrons are after the traditional cod, which comes battered and fried or broiled. There are other choices on the menu as well. The Serb Hall is flanked in tradition and Serbian decoration, yet the experience is truly for everyone. It's been around since the mid 1960s, and many diehards can testify that it has always been both busy and tasty. Little has changed since its founding, and while you can ''drive-thru'' or do the express carryout, the best choice is to stay and experience the atmosphere. It is a friendly community fixture that draws a crowd from all over. Reservations are recommended. -- Doug LaCombe

Our favorite Friday fish fry!

We as a family have always loved Serb Hall's Friday fish fry. Great taste, friendly people, family atmosphere. A real Milwaukee experience.

excellent food and service

This place really lived up to its reputation as the premiere fish fry in Milwaukee! I had the fried cod and it was very flavorful. My wife had their fried chicken and it was the most moist delicious that we had EVER tasted! I really enjoyed their special Serb Hall beer at a buck a glass! The service was great even though there was a short wait. next time I will make a reservation. Great job, Serb Hall! Keep up the good work. I will see you again soon!
