The Third Ward has another place to be proud of with the opening of The Wicked Hop, a restaurant and bar on Broadway. The Wicked Hop has a classically hip design. On the outside is an overhang that almost feels like a fish market, but the intriguing logo hints at the mysterious bar inside. In a building that survived fire, The Wicked Hop features spacious ceilings and manages to not be oppressively packed, making it possible to carry a drink without knocking into someone. The menu offers a diverse selection from burgers to salads and seafood. Hamburger aficionados can select from a wide variety of toppings to create their own burger. Entrees include artichoke shrimp fettuccine, Cajun chicken fettuccine and NY strip steak. A children's menu is available for families. Food is served until 9PM. The bar offers a long wine list and unique cocktails such as Dr. Jekyll's Blue Lemonade with tequila as two of the drink's ingredients. Stop in on your way to a summer festival.

Best Wings!
By enoclaf on 09/21/2004
The Third Ward is becoming the dinning capital of Milwaukee. One of the greatest benefits of the area are lower prices and better attention to detail. The happy hour has the BEST wings I've tasted in Milwaukee, and what a bargain! The drinks are good and the outdoor dining is very relaxing (without the oder of the river like nearby establishments). Stop in after work, you never know who you'll run into! Ciao!

Change of Pace
By sscholtens on 08/25/2004
The Wicked Hop is a refreshing change of pace for the downtown area. The Hop has room to move and relax wether busy or not. Even when packed the wait staff are quick and courtieous. The food is spectacular and the portion sizes are more than generous. The Provolone Sticks put all other cheese sticks in town to shame. Give it a try. I promise you won't be disappointed.
