Named after a Roman god, this Bay View eatery offers upscale European-style sandwiches at blue collar prices. Try the hot Italian sausage or tuna salad sandwich. In addition to normal sandwiches, Annona includes Italian paninis, a sandwich served on special pressed and grilled bread. If a sandwich isn't enough to satisfy your hunger, Annona features a selection of 11-inch personal pizzas. The pizzas are made from excellent fresh ingredients and are available with toppings that will satisfy even the most obscure tastes. Somewhat unusual for a Milwaukee bistro, Annona even offers a nod to the dining traditions of the neighborhood with a Friday Fish Fry. On Saturdays and Sundays, Annona offers a brunch lasting from 9AM to 2PM. If you want to enjoy Annona in the comfort of your office or home, they also deliver.
