Major Goolsby's Pub and Grill   

Before or after major sporting events downtown, you have your pick of a dozen drinking establishments. But if you're actually planning to breathe, sit down and have a good quick bite to eat while you're at it, come to Goolsby's. This sports bar, festively decorated with all manner of sports memorabilia, neon signs and big-bulbed Christmas lights, is a comfortable stroll from the Bradley Center, Milwaukee Arena, Milwaukee Auditorium and Midwest Express Center. Pedestrians from major sporting events, concerts and exhibitions appreciate the ample seating provided for those of us not aggressive enough to grab the last remaining barstool. Dozens of bar-height tables with swivel chairs offer restful views of the veritable cyclorama of 20 televisions, while smoke-eaters remove annoying fumes. With quick-serve pre-game menus, two-for-one after-event drafts, inexpensive but good food and wonderful service, Goolsby's is a best bet.
