Rate and Write a Review Baseball fans in Milwaukee no longer have to endure brutal weather to watch the Brewers. Miller Park and its famed (and much appreciated) retractable roof became operational for the 2001 baseball season. The enormous structure holds 42,500 fans and combines old-school aesthetics, such as a brick facade, with modern conveniences. Four tiers of seating (field, loge, club and terrace) provide all sorts of options, and prices range from the $1 nosebleed "Uecker Seats" to the $50 field-diamond boxes. Seats are noticeably closer to the field than they were at County Stadium, so it's a good bet that Sammy Sosa can actually hear your insults. Miller Park is about more than just the game on the field. The concourses are spacious and filled with diversions, such as Bernie's Clubhouse for kids and the Big League Blast interactive area. Varied food stands and plenty of beer taps are available for sustenance. The 300 Club offers upscale (and pricey) food in an elegant restaurant atmosphere in left field. Numerous luxury boxes fill the club level. But real baseball fans don't watch the game while eating filet mignon or sipping a Manhattan. On the lower level, left-field side is Friday's Front Row Sports Grill (open all year) where you can get a beer and burger and pull for a Brewers' win. -- SM Best Bet for Parking: Miller Park has 13,000 parking spots to choose from. Parking will only set you back $6, unless you choose the closer, 'preferred' parking, in which case you are looking at $12. Best Way to get to the Park: A car is the way to go, with the abundance of parking spaces. No trains go to the park, but check on bus runs if you can't drive. Many 'Park and Ride' situations are offered through the local transit authority. Best Food at the Park: The bratwurst and barbeque are not to be missed. Try them at Brat Boys, Klement's Sausage Haus, Brushback BBQ or the many other concession choices. Also, choose from amongst many grills and thirst-quenching stations throughout the park.
