Pitch's Lounge & Restaurant   

Pitch's Lounge & Restaurant is a longtime fixture on north Humboldt Avenue, perched in brown brick glory above two of the shadier blocks on the east side proper. After entering and passing by the bowling and softball trophy case, one comes to a separate front bar that is usually empty, and a large, two-room dining area with forest green carpeting and wood paneling. Here one finds patrons: it's a family restaurant known for steaks and barbecue ribs, and entrees such as Orange Roughy, T-bone steak and Sicilian steak. They will set you back about $12 or $13. Pastas and sandwiches can be had for between $6 and $9.
