Palm Tavern   

A welcome addition to the ever-expanding Bay View neighborhood, this jazzy little bar just off of bustling KK opened in June 2003. It's the creation of husband and wife team Bruno Johnson and Adrienne Pierluissi, the same couple who have owned and operated the Chicago jazz label Okka Disk for the past nine years. The Palm Tavern is a quiet oasis for those fed up with noisy clubs and crowded bars, and you can't help but tap your feet to the tunes that quietly waft through the bar's top-of-the-line sound system. Old record covers and framed posters of jazz and soul artists like saxophonist Peter Brotzman line the wall of this hip but unpretentious joint. A perfect place to unwind after work or socialize with friends on the weekend, The Palm Tavern offers an impressive selection of single malt scotches, American whiskeys and specialty cocktails.
