Three can be two different places depending on when you go there. Early in the evening, the atmosphere is strictly lounge. A post-work crowd can enjoy one of the dozens of martinis served at the bar, while quietly enjoying Sinatra. But later at night, the music gets turned up a notch; Frank is replaced by house, trance and techno beats and one end of the bar becomes a small dance floor. National DJs provide a variety of music to keep you on your feet. The bar isn't huge but neither are the egos. Decent attire is required but pretense is not. The decor reflects this attitude and doesn't go over-the-top: The old-school, cream city-brick mixes well with stainless steel conversation tables and a sturdy, poured-concrete bar provides a comfortable refuge. If you want to get away from the crowd, there's a cozy VIP section available for rent. If the lavish, adjoining nightclub, Eve, causes sensory overload, or you just want a couch and coffee table for low-key conversation, seek refuge here. You won't be disappointed.
