Highly acclaimed local restaurateur Joe Bartolotta is the visionary behind this amazing Parisian-style bistro tucked away on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan in beautiful Fredrick Law Olmstead designed Lake Park. James Beard?s 2007 Best Chef Mid-West Adam Siegel?s cuisine ranges from traditional French (êntrecote de b½uf, soupe a l?oignon), modern twists (½uf mollet, canard ?deux façon?) and the ever changing ?Menu du Chef.? The location, view, stellar food, and honest Midwestern hospitality combine to create an unforgettable meal worthy of a trip to Milwaukee?s East Side. We invite you to join us for lunch, dinner, special events, and Sunday brunch.

Oh Well

Milwaukee is too great a place to fall for theses "trendy" places. Stick with the "40 year old" places.

Great Dining Experience
By cee419em on 02/09/2005
Our dining experience was superb. Our meals were well-prepared and my husband said he had the very best coffee of all of his dining experiences. Most notable: we arrived at the Bistro by accident, were in traveling clothes and were made to feel welcome. We were new to the milwaukee area and this was a very positive experience....we'll be back next time we're in Milwaukee !!

UNIMPRESSED
By kalpanajr on 10/17/2004
I cannot believe this is supposed to be one of Milwaukee's finest dining experiences. The food was just so-so, not worth the money, that's for sure, and the service left much to be desired. The waitress had no idea about wine, but gave us info anyway--which was inaccurate; she also poured one wine into a glass with a different wine it (not asking, of course). The entrees were just alright, but nothing impressive. Also, the french onion soup (as well as any entree) comes with its own serving of oil on top, so beware! The fantastic view is pointless if it's after dark. We've been to MUCH nicer places in the city. For this kind of money, the atmosphere and the food were certainly less than I expected.
