Highly acclaimed local restaurateur Joe Bartolotta is the visionary behind this amazing Parisian-style bistro tucked away on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan in beautiful Fredrick Law Olmstead designed Lake Park. James Beard?s 2007 Best Chef Mid-West Adam Siegel?s cuisine ranges from traditional French (êntrecote de b½uf, soupe a l?oignon), modern twists (½uf mollet, canard ?deux façon?) and the ever changing ?Menu du Chef.? The location, view, stellar food, and honest Midwestern hospitality combine to create an unforgettable meal worthy of a trip to Milwaukee?s East Side. We invite you to join us for lunch, dinner, special events, and Sunday brunch.

Not all that!
By lindaisg on 05/08/2004
Upscale, interesting menu beautiful surroundings. That's the good news. Tables to close and noise a problem for intimate dinning and just an uncomfortable atmosphere. Food was just adequete but certainly not worth the price. Waitstaff could act friendlier. They seem scared and impersonal.I wouldn't go back.

food poisoning
By paulam1008 on 09/25/2004
Picked one of Milwaukee's "best"restaurants celebrate friends' 25th anniversary--big mistake!! Very crowded tables--too close--and service was minimal. To top things off, my friend and I had their "special" lamb and we both got very ill--went to doctor and he said I had food poisoning. Called Bartolotta's--their response was "oh well" We will have someone call you. Have never had a call. McDonald's is far safer and better service and much better customer response. Save yourself $200!

UNIMPRESSED
By kalpanajr on 10/17/2004
I cannot believe this is supposed to be one of Milwaukee's finest dining experiences. The food was just so-so, not worth the money, that's for sure, and the service left much to be desired. The waitress had no idea about wine, but gave us info anyway--which was inaccurate; she also poured one wine into a glass with a different wine it (not asking, of course). The entrees were just alright, but nothing impressive. Also, the french onion soup (as well as any entree) comes with its own serving of oil on top, so beware! The fantastic view is pointless if it's after dark. We've been to MUCH nicer places in the city. For this kind of money, the atmosphere and the food were certainly less than I expected.
