Phan's Garden Restaurant   

My wife and I have for the past few years eaten at Phan's many times. My wife is from Vietnam and says the food is close to the real thing, it has always been good but the service has always been very slow. We have even seen one of the waiters get into a verbal confrontation with a table full of customers about the long wait for the food. Recently we had an experience there that makes us question if we will ever go back again. As stated earlier my wife and I have eaten there many times over the past few years. We have always left a 10 to 15% tip, every time. At our last meal we asked the waiter if we could have a couple pairs of those cheap wooden chopsticks that they give away with their carry out meals to take with us, as we would be needing some at a place we couldn't get any in the near future. The waiter said no, they can't give those away unless you order food to take with you! Apparently he had forgotten about all the tips we have left. Shortly after that I asked the other waiter if he could take my meal back and give it a zap in the microwave as it was only warm and not hot. Again, forgetting about customer service he picked up my plate, felt the bottom and said "It's hot, it's hot!" and set the plate back down in front of me refusing to warm it up. Later we noticed the two waiters talking about us with scornful looks, and when I went to pay for the meal I was given the incorrect amount of change back. At this restaurant customer loyalty and customer service are near non existent and the meal is certainly not worth the experience.

Phan's Garden is a great local Chinese/Vietnamese eatery. The staff is friendly and the food is quite good. You gotta order the egg rolls! I'll be back for sure.
