A New Place!!

I have been her ein the past and was disapointed, Not this time. The place has gotten a makeover. I heard that it was under new managment and now I can see the major improvments. They have all wood tables which is mor inviting. It was the most comfortable restaurant I'v ever been in. The service wasery good and food was out of this world. WOW!!! You must try this place regardless of thee past reputation.. IT IS NOT THE SAME PLACE!!! I hope they keep up the great work.

Overpriced and over rated

The atmosphere in this restaurant is amazing and location is unbeatable but the food and service is nothing to brag about. For the price you pay for the food and drinks you can forfit location and save a bunch at other restaurants downtown with a better menu, much tastier food and all for a more affordable price!

Awful, I'll never go back!

I have been to this restaurant a couple of times and was impressed by their atmosphere and service, so naturally when I had guests coming from out of town I thought this would be the perfect place. Unfortunately I was wrong. I made my reservations a week in advance and asked for a special table. While my name is not hard to spell I still spelled it fanatically as I always do. My guests were traveling 4 hours to attend a show in Milwaukee so I made the reservations for 5:30 pm so we could have a leisurely dinner. We arrived at 5:00 pm and they had trouble finding our reservations, due to my name being completely misspelled. Since it was a nice day we went to enjoy the views outside and then went to our table at 5:30pm. The waitress took our drink order along with appetizers and then everything went downhill from there. It was 30 minutes before we saw her again. In the meantime we went to the bar ourselves and charged the drinks to our table. She arrived back at 6:00 pm to drop off our drinks (from 30 mins ago) and to take our entrée order. I advised her that we had tickets for a show that started at 8:00 pm so we were on time restrictions. Needless to say we received our appetizers and nothing more. At 7:00pm she came to see if we needed more drinks and AGAIN I told her of the show tickets and our time restraints. At 7:30 pm the manager came over to our table and stated our order was lost. We were shocked!! Arriving at 5:30 pm and then told at 7:30 pm that our order was lost, he had to be joking. My party decided we did not have time to wait for our meal to arrive and we would just have to leave. The manager apologized and said he would pay for our drinks and appetizers. I took him aside and advised him how upset I was. I personally recommend this place, we had guests who traveled 4hrs and now would have to go to a show hungry and unable to eat until 10:00pm. The manager stated he would give us his business card so we could come back for a complimentary meal. This did not make me feel better because my guests lived so far away. As we were walking out we stopped at the hostess desk to get the managers business card and the manager looked at us confused. My temperature rising I relived our experience with him and he said "Oh yeah, let me get you a card." He gave us a normal business card and nothing more. I told him to write his name on the back describing what he promised us and he seemed annoyed that he had to take the time to do this. I am very upset with the lack of service and compensation we received. Not that this should make a difference to how we should have been serviced, but our table of 7 was ordering martinis, lobster, etc. This could have been a big sale for them with repeat customers. Instead they are getting this horrible review and not our business.

AwfulService & so-so food

It took 3 hours to serve 4 people. The restaurant was less than half filled. In that entire time we saw our server 4 times....about once every 40 minutes. The first time was 20 minutes after being seated when she took our drink order and dinner selections. After completing our meal & waiting for over a half hour for our bill, we went to the front counter for assistance in getting our check. When the server finally appeared we stated we had been waiting a long time for her, she told us "look around, what do you want me to do about it, you're not the only people in the restaurant". Shockingly poor service. It appears this "landmark" used to be high quality but has really slipped in the last year. You have to go back to May '05 to find one decent review. Spend your time and money elsewhere.
