The Nicollet Island Inn has stood witness to over a century of change on the shores of the Mississippi River. The Inn is consistently named the most romantic restaurant in the area and its river views have been voted some of the best in the city. An immediately recognizable Minneapolis landmark, the Inn offers world-class cuisine created by executive chef Adam Droski, whose innovative and constantly updated menu includes a variety of seafood, steaks and gourmet specialty dishes. Nic's bar, just off the main dining room, is a casual, olde-world tavern and the patio offers stunning views of the Minneapolis skyline. The Inn is a convenient, comfortable destination for breakfast or lunch meetings while the 5-course Champagne Sunday Brunch is the perfect weekend indulgence. Newly refurbished banquet rooms are perfect for weddings or corporate receptions of up to 150 guests. Traveling patrons (or those weary from an elegant meal) can luxuriate in one of the Inn's 24 guest rooms.

What a Pleasant Surprise!
By JoeyJoJoJr1379 on 06/05/2008
My husband and I live just a few blocks away from the Inn but we hadn't been there in a while, so last weekend we decided to stop in for a drink. What a wonderful surprise! We sat on the patio and had an appetizer -- the flavor was so good and the atmosphere was so comfortable we decided to stay for dinner. Everything on the menu (which the waitress told us had just recently been updated for the season) looked delicious and when our entrees arrived the dishes were impeccably presented and full of complex flavor. They even had a live piano player and singer! All of this and very reasonable prices. We will definitely be back!

Arrogance does not = class
By mralyons on 07/18/2007
The Nicollet Island Inn has really gone downhill. I used to frequent the place but have not been back for about a year. I went there over the weekend with friends Arrogance does not equal class or fine dinning sorry but the Inn has that one wrong!! Dinning room manager could use a few lessons in hospitality!! General Manager could also have a brush up class in it!! Two men that don't know the meaning of the words Hospitality or service more likely feel that it just doesn't apply to them!! Chef obviously hasn't been cooking long wait staff slow and or not there" Bartender needs to learn to make drinks and not be pucking his eye brows so much and looking at himself in the mirror. This place is no longer what it was and sadly not what it could be. SAVE your money and go somewhere with good food and good service i know that i will next time!

Needs Improvement
By mackayathome on 07/07/2007
We stayed there for 1 night. It felt like a real getaway but we were very disappointed with the food. During our stay we ate lunch, dinner and brunch and all of the meals were lacking. We would stay again but would definitely plan to eat elsewhere.
