Just like its namesake, Butch Cassidy's Cafe has gained notoriety in the South -- not for holding up trains, but for serving up one of the best burgers in town. The Butch Burger (topped with bacon, cheese, lettuce, onion and lots of mayo, $5.69) is a surefire hit with beef lovers, and the Campfire Grilled Cheese ($3.95) aims to please with four slices of American sandwiched between two thick slices of sourdough. Southern faves like fried green tomatoes ($4.69), nachos (three varieties, $4.95-$5.95), and chili and cheese fries ($1.69) round out the menu of hearty grub that'll give you plenty of bang for your buck.

Great Food!
Hamburgers, fried green tomatoes, and wings are amazing!
One of my favorite places.
Get past the parking challenge and find yourself in a very popular place where you will probably have to wait a minute to get a seat. Then sit and enjoy one of the best burgers for miles. Add a couple of beers, a good friend, and you have yourself a very enjoyable meal. If you're hyper kinetic and don't have the patience for the place's rythms, call ahead on your way there and they'll have it ready for you when you get there. I almost feel like a "regular", even though the soap opera was news to me.
Butch's is the best
Didn't know Debbie personally, just saw her on occasion at the bar drinking....
but they have the best burgers in Mobile, and their wings are the best in the world.
The service is slow, the kitchen is slow, but if you are in a hurry then you should not be there in the first place. Everyone knows that it is slow but that is the allure of it, it makes you slow down and drink more cold beers!!!
Hamburgers are awesome!
Great hamburgers, cold drinks, sometimes very crowded, good atmosphere, reasonably priced.
