Saigon Cafe' Express   

Saigon Cafe is Monroe's only vietnamese restaurant left. I had originally thought it was more of a coffee shop when they opened and never bothered checking it out. But when the other Thai/vietnamese restaurant closed I was desperate for some Pho. I wasn't sure what they had to offer in food so I stopped by. They have all the vietnamese favorites but I was very pleased to see that they had Bahn Mi which is a vietnamese style sandwich. Theirs is VERY good and at a mere $3.50 it was a bargain. Do yourself a favor and check it out. If you are a fan of the fireball sushi roll at Samurai....they do the same roll but for only $7.50

My honey and I give this place a 5 star as far as we are concern. We have been there twice this week and love their food and goodies. Had this pastry that looked like the one my dad used to make and it was. Wow, what a small world. Even had the steam bread with meat in it that we call it Manapua in Hawaii. The staff are extremely friendly. If you have not been there, we suggest you go there.
