This unassuming establishment is located in one of Monterey's quieter neighborhoods, making it a relaxing place to stay. The bright and airy rooms come with all the standard perks of hotels in the area: complimentary bathrobes, a patio, and in some cases, a fireplace. There is even a deck where you can catch a few rays. Or you can use the grill area for a barbecue if you wish. There are even private sauna rooms. The service is first-rate.

General manager was very rude.
They messed up our reservations so our room was occupied with three sleeping children in the car and no room at 9:00 pm the general manager decided to be very rude and tell my girlfriend that she was lying about the whole situation and when they did find us a room at another hotel the room was like a motel six and they charged us $200.00 for it, $50.00 more than the room we had reserved at colton inn and after basically being called a liar my girlfriend was rudley told that we are even lucky we were getting a place, by the general manager!!!!If I were you and wanting to get a hotel for the weekend or anytime don't stay at the Colton Inn.
